First of all I want to appologize for not updating my blog more recently. I just got back from my vacation and had other issues that needed my full attention. Here is an update on the Hawkeyes.

The Hawkeyes (2 – 2, 5 – 2) lost to Indiana ( 1 – 1, 4 – 3) last weeekend at Indiana by the score 28 – 31. The Hawkeyes didn’t want the to win the game as bad as Indiana did. Iowa also lost a good wide reciever (Douglas) to an injury in the second quarter. This is the second conference lost Iowa suffered in the Big Ten. Everybody knows who the first loss was from. (#1 Ohio State 17 – 38) Iowa faces #2
Michigan (4 – 0, 7 – 0) this weekend at Michigan. Iowa has won at Michigan before. Michigan is playing without Super Mario for the rest of the saeson. This makes Michigan human again. If Iowa can score and the defense can control Michigan’s offense then Iowa could have a chance of beating the #2 ranked team in the nation. It seems that a team gets ranked 2 in the nation always lose the first game they play as #2. I hope this fact keeps going for this weekend. Iowa injuries are making it difficult for Iowa to go to its 5 straight New Years bowl game.

In my opinion, if Iowa loses 1 or 2 more games then Iowa might make it to the Alamo game by chance.
