::Guts and Determination::

Onesome: “Guts”– sometimes can determine the outcome: whoever digs in and plays through the injuries and circumstances. What is your favorite memory of someone or a team driving past adversity to win the big one?

I remember when I played basketball when I pop my ankle out of socket in the third period and still played on it for the rest of the game. I helped my team win the game. On the way back to my school on the bus I started moving my foot around and felt it pop back into place. I was out for 2 weeks after that game.

Twosome: …and– what brought that question on? The local team won the College World Series last night, winning every elimination game possible to advance as the lowest seed ever to win a National Title. No question, just kudos to them. Okay, easy question: did you hear anything about the games where you are?

There was really no local coverage, but I always watch ESPN for my sports needs.

Threesome: Determination– helps in life: what have you accomplished through sheer determination that will remain with you as a bright spot in your life?

I was in a car wreck in 1998 that messed me up. I had determination and support from friends to finish my senior year at college and to get my degree. Now I’m a computer programmer and have a degree for it.

I’m getting Tiger Hawk Blog ready to be moved to a dot com address. This is why the blog has a new look. My friend from the blog “View from the Bench” created this theme for me. You can visit his site by clicking on it under Iowa Blogroll on the right side. I have also changed the view of my sidebar as well.

I’m also refocusing on why I have a blog. I’m going to write about Iowa Hawkeye sports (Of Course), Disc Golfing in and around Iowa, About my kids and being a father, about the book I’m currently writing about my youngest son, and other general life topics that I can think of. I’m currently stop working on my Wordpress plugins for a few months. This is due to my youngest son being born this year and becoming a father for the second time. I will hopefully start working on the plugins again in the Fall right around Football Season.
